Christmas 2014

Christmas 2014 was a quiet, relaxing day in the Kent home.  After a lot of traveling and spending time apart in the last few months, we were excited to get to spend our holiday together.
Last year at this time Cooper wasn't walking yet, which meant the tree and presents were pretty safe.  This year was a whole different story.  Ornaments were pulled off our tree quick and presents were readily opened when they were placed under our ornament -sparse tree.  As the weeks of December went on, our little guy learned that the presents were to be opened later and the ornaments were fragile.
Our biggest surprise Christmas morning was SNOW!! It had been a relatively warm and dry winter so far in Salt Lake, but Santa thought it would be pretty fun to have a White Christmas this year.  He was right!!
Cooper was spoiled with generous gifts from family and friends this year and was overwhelmed with so many fun new things to play with.

Relaxing on Christmas Eve watching a movie.

Cooper got to open one present on Chriatmas Eve, he picked this awesome John Deere tractor from his friends Heidi and Henry.

Santa came!  All ready for our good little boy to enjoy his gifts in the morning.

This unwrapping thing is fun.

Wow!  So many cool things.

A new football!

Cooper even helped dad open his gifts.

Whoa!! Look at this awesome wagon Cooper got from his grandma and grandpa.  He loves taking it for rides outside and around the house.

Getting all bundled up to go play in the snow.

"Okay mom, let's go."

Cute little snow bunny.

Oh hi!

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year!

Baby it's cold outside

We have been having a fun and busy December so far in Salt Lake City this year.  No real snow yet, Cooper is eagerly awaiting that amazing white stuff, but the temperatures are starting to cool down hopefully welcoming some powder.
Grammy and Pops stopped by for a fun-filled weekend visit complete with gingerbread man decorating, shopping, story reading and a trip to Park City.  We had a perfect weekend and love when they come visit.
Cooper even got to the Zoo Lights this year, he thought that was just about the coolest thing he has ever seen.  "Wow!  lights!"  was heard all night long.

Decorating Gingerbread men with Grammy.
So creative!
What?  Is that frosting?
Eating is the best part.
Park City day trip.
Keeping warm with Grammy and Pops.
Story time before bed.
Cooper loves some picture posing.
Rocking the red this holiday season.
Love my new hat, thanks Grammy!
Zoo lights fun.
Daddy is making us laugh with that silly flash.

Oregon was fun..but now back to Utah.

Cooper and mom had a great month in Oregon, spending time with family and enjoying the coastal weather.  We were lucky to be able to spend a lot if time with Auntie B; taking walks, going to the park and we even squeezed in a haircut.  While we loved being close to family, we sure did miss dad!  So now we are back in Utah, living in a rental house a few blocks from our old house getting back reacquainted with our surroundings.
Cooper loved park time with Auntie B.

Coop getting to sit in one of grandpas toys.

Getting a fancy haircut from Auntie B.

Wild and free at the park.

Our trip home was a long one due to some pretty bad weather, so we stopped at a hotel for the night with a pool and did some much needed swimming.

Home sweet home.  I would say he is getting comfortable in his new place.

And now time for Turkey Day!

Halloween Time Fun

Cooper sure enjoyed his second Halloween much better than his first one; turns out eating candy is pretty great!
As is happened, Jeff's days off landed on Halloween weekend, which was so great to have him here to go trick or treating with us.
First stop.. Grandmas's work.

Cute Little Stinker.

Coop found the fish at Granmda's work first thing, they were so cool.

Time for pumpkin carving.

Let me help dad!

Super spooky!!

My first sucker...mind blown!

Trick or treat time.

Happy Halloween everyone.. I am spent!

The house is sold..to Oregon we go.

We got pretty lucky that our house sold so quickly, however, we sure didn't anticipate not being able to find a rental house that would take our furry friends.  So, after calling dozens of places and having no luck, we made a new plan.  Cooper and mom would move to Oregon and live with Shannon's parents while Jeff stayed back in Salt Lake with his brother until we came up with another plan.
Shannon's parents were so helpful and drove to Salt Lake City to help with the move and the drive back to Oregon.  While they were in Utah, we tried to squeeze in some fun activities; we went to the zoo, music class, gym and played outside in the nice weather.
Our drive to Oregon was great, we made lots of stops and saw Coops favorite, pumpkins, at most of our stops.
Jeff luckily works a schedule where he gets 4 day weekends every other week, so he was able to come back with us to Oregon and hang out for a few days before heading back.  We had fun relaxing together, going to the pumpkin patch and enjoying a date night alone before he headed back to Salt Lake.

Having fun at the zoo looking at the lions.

Monkey monkey, where are you...

Checking out the seals and the polar bear.

Coop sure loves his grandma and grandpa.

These were a little scary at first.

Our mini pumpkin patch lunch stop on the road trip to Oregon.

Ahh, out of the car and off with the pants.

At the pumpkin patch at Mahaffy Ranch.."hey, I see one over here!"

Coop really loved being pulled around in the wagon.

And Hunter sure liked pulling him.

Happy boy!

So much fun.

Coop thinks it is pretty funny to steal grandmas reading glasses.  And I think it is pretty hilarious too.

Our new Pacific Northwest attire, "ready for the rain mom!"
