Summer zoo time

Last Christmas Grammy and Pops got us a zoo pass to the Hogle Zoo and boy have we gotten our use out of that.  Cooper and mom usually go at least once a week and when dad is on his days off of work, we also get a time or two at the zoo in too.  Last week we went with our friends Kristen and Nora and then again this weekend.
Cooper and Nora checking out the Zebras.
Do you think I could go play with those animals mom?

Getting ready to ride the train.
Coop and dad checking out the elephants.

Another fun train ride.

Coopers favorite part at the zoo is the giraffes, always our our last zoo stop.

Coopers first official haircut

Coopers hair was getting pretty unruly, so we decided to take him in today to get his lovely locks trimmed up.  He was a little apprehensive at first, but was such a good boy.  The best part was the awesome blue balloon he got when it was all over.
The BEFORE
Holding moms hand for just a little comfort.
Leaning over just right for the stylist .
Dapper little guy.
Almost done.
Can you get me out now?
The AFTER: with my awesome balloon.

Summer is gone, here comes Fall

I know I know, I am the worst blogger ever.  Do I even take pictures anymore?  Well, it sure doesn't look like it.  I am going to make a Fall resolution to be a good mommy and blog more religiously, I promise.
We have had such a busy and fun summer and Cooper is growing ad learning new and exciting things every day.  He is walking and running, talking and giving big kisses.
This summer, we spent time in Seattle, had our Seattle family stay with us for a week, and then spent two weeks on the Oregon Coast with both sides of the family.  We even fit in Cooper's first swimming lessons, some fun zoo and hiking time and had a late summer visit from Auntie B.

We went to Seattle for a quick stay and had some fun times with the girls.
Coop sure loves his cousin Ivy.

Homemade pizza night.

Then, the Toppenberg family came and stayed with us for an entire week, including the 4th of July, we had so much fun.

Happy 4th of July!!

Cousin Ben and Cooper in their patriotic outfits.

Grammy and her girls.

Dave and Amanda...Amanda, of course, brought a yummy dessert.

I sure do love these boys.

Bathtime!!

Hanging with the cousins.

Cooper loved having Reilly push him in the swing.

We went to Oregon for two weeks this summer and saw most of our family from both sides; it was so much fun.  We started our trip with our Seattle cousins and had some pool fun the first night in our hotel.

That was a long road trip...time for a beer.

Cooper's first time at the beach, sweet toes in the sand.

Summer Hikes
We went on some pretty great hikes with Cooper this summer.  He sure loves his backpack hiker and being able to see everything that mom and dad see and he loves giving our heads pats as we hike.

Swimming lessons
Cooper and mom had their first swimming class this summer.  We had so much fun splashing and kicking.

Outdoor fun in the sun.
We have spent countless hours outside in our backyard this summer: swinging, working the garden, playing in the pool and laying the hammock.

 Pool time!

Swinging with a popsicle, life is good.

More popsicles!!

Look at me all by myself in this hammock!

Working in the garden with dad.

A visit from Auntie B:
We love when Auntie B comes for a visit.  Cooper thinks she is so fun and silly and she is always ready to play and roll around on the floor with her nephew.

At the zoo.

Watching the Elephants.

Doing some fun swinging.

She even gave him a bath.

And read some stories before bed.

Goodbye from this awesome haired dude!
