A nice visit to sunny Arizona

We had the pleasure of going back to our past home state and spending ten relaxing days with family and friends.  We really miss the sunny weather, eating outside and getting to spend time with loved ones.  Cooper did so great on the road trip down (he handled 12 hours in one day like a champ), but was sure excited to get out of the car when we arrived at Grammy and Pops' house in the evening.  We started our vacation staying at the Kent's trendy, hip apartment in the heart of downtown Phoenix.  We had so much fun walking around and see the sights, eating breakfast and fun little cafes and of course spending time with grandparents.

We spent a day at the zoo with Grammy and Pops and met some of mommy's friends and their kiddos, it was so great to catch up!
Let's do this!   I love the zoo.

Grammy and Coop getting all sunscreened in the warm Arizona weather.

Such a happy boy!

Look pops!!

Mom and favorite little guy checking out some monkeys.

Trying to get all of the kiddo's together for a picture.

The rest of our stay at the Kent's, we strolled around their complex, looking at all of the cool fountains, playing at the park and relaxing (mom even got in a happy hour with a friend too).

Looking at the cool fountains by Grammy and Pops' place.

Wow!!

Big boy sitting in a big chair all by himself.

Watching some silly dancing videos with Grammy.

Trying out his own dance moves.

We left Grammy and Pops' house on Tuesday morning of our vacation and headed to our friends the Stilgenbauer's in Mesa for the remainder of our trip.  While Scott and Tiffany worked during the day, we went on some great hikes, played in the backyard and spend some good time at the park.  By the time the Stilgenbauer family got home, we were ready to cook dinner and relax together.  Cooper loved spending time with his friends and thought Heidi was just so funny.

Hiking the Petroglyphs one day in Gold Canyon...always good to carry snacks and water.

Mom and Coop taking a rest on the trail.

Coop loves balancing on rocks..such a big boy.

We took to Silly Mountain on day two, so pretty.  Coop had the best seat in the house.

Sleepy little man on the way down; we got plenty of comments from passers by.

And done..

After our longs days of hiking, these boys were pooped.

Do I have to get off the ground??

While mom met up with some friends, dad and Coop had some park fun.

A little swinging...trying so hard to stay awake.

Relaxing in the wagon with some goodies on the ride home.

Let me help dad.

Such a good helper.

Stilgenbauer fun

Bathtime just got a little more fun.

Nothing cuter than babies in nothing but a diaper.

Coop and Hank look like they are up to something sneaky.

We took another zoo trip later in the week with the Stilgenbauer's.  We forget that the Phoenix Zoo is so big that it would take several trips to see everything.

Scott and sweet Henry.

Dad and Coop seeing some cool animals.

Cooper is really into balancing on rocks these days, Heidi was showing him how it's done.

Big boy.

It's go time!

Heidi and Cooper rode the carousel with their dads, it took a little getting used to for Cooper, but it sure was fun in the end.

The boys... we sure had a great time.

Christmas 2014

Christmas 2014 was a quiet, relaxing day in the Kent home.  After a lot of traveling and spending time apart in the last few months, we were excited to get to spend our holiday together.
Last year at this time Cooper wasn't walking yet, which meant the tree and presents were pretty safe.  This year was a whole different story.  Ornaments were pulled off our tree quick and presents were readily opened when they were placed under our ornament -sparse tree.  As the weeks of December went on, our little guy learned that the presents were to be opened later and the ornaments were fragile.
Our biggest surprise Christmas morning was SNOW!! It had been a relatively warm and dry winter so far in Salt Lake, but Santa thought it would be pretty fun to have a White Christmas this year.  He was right!!
Cooper was spoiled with generous gifts from family and friends this year and was overwhelmed with so many fun new things to play with.

Relaxing on Christmas Eve watching a movie.

Cooper got to open one present on Chriatmas Eve, he picked this awesome John Deere tractor from his friends Heidi and Henry.

Santa came!  All ready for our good little boy to enjoy his gifts in the morning.

This unwrapping thing is fun.

Wow!  So many cool things.

A new football!

Cooper even helped dad open his gifts.

Whoa!! Look at this awesome wagon Cooper got from his grandma and grandpa.  He loves taking it for rides outside and around the house.

Getting all bundled up to go play in the snow.

"Okay mom, let's go."

Cute little snow bunny.

Oh hi!

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and have a very Happy New Year!

Baby it's cold outside

We have been having a fun and busy December so far in Salt Lake City this year.  No real snow yet, Cooper is eagerly awaiting that amazing white stuff, but the temperatures are starting to cool down hopefully welcoming some powder.
Grammy and Pops stopped by for a fun-filled weekend visit complete with gingerbread man decorating, shopping, story reading and a trip to Park City.  We had a perfect weekend and love when they come visit.
Cooper even got to the Zoo Lights this year, he thought that was just about the coolest thing he has ever seen.  "Wow!  lights!"  was heard all night long.

Decorating Gingerbread men with Grammy.
So creative!
What?  Is that frosting?
Eating is the best part.
Park City day trip.
Keeping warm with Grammy and Pops.
Story time before bed.
Cooper loves some picture posing.
Rocking the red this holiday season.
Love my new hat, thanks Grammy!
Zoo lights fun.
Daddy is making us laugh with that silly flash.
Mind blown!
Bye guys..cheese!
